Vision Commercial Kitchens were proud to be the Headline Partners at the HTA Catering Conference at The Belfry on the 9th-10th June.

 

The conference included a number of interesting and informative talks and workshops and reflected how significantly catering has grown within garden centre cafes and restaurants. The conference itinerary included talks from Garden Centres running both small and large catering operations, however despite the difference in scale; there were obvious similarities in terms of being passionate about your offer and creating an inviting ambience for customers.

 

Vision enjoyed talking to previous clients about how successful their catering operations are running as well as meeting other operators and discussing their plans for the future. It was obvious from the conference talks that the way in which garden centre cafes and restaurant are perceived has significantly changed and that many garden centre eateries have become destination venues that rival the high street. A successful catering operation provides many opportunities for garden centres by maximising revenue and allowing the establishment to become a food and drink destination as well as a gardening one and the Catering Conference's inspiring talks emphasised this key point.
