VISION COMPLETE PROJECT AT BRIGADE
Vision complete project at social enterprise restaurant Brigade, London.
Recently opened, the Brigade bar, bistro and cook school at The Fire Station, Tooley Street, London, will offer 25 disadvantaged people a six-month apprenticeship alongside part-time training at Southwark College. In total 500 homeless and disadvantaged people will go through a well-being and catering programme with Brigade Chef Founder Simon Boyle's Beyond Food Foundation.
Run as a social enterprise, Brigade is funded by a unique partnership between the private, public and third sectors. Brigade has investment from the Beyond Food Foundation, the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), De Vere Venues and Big Issue Invest.
Vision Commercial Kitchens have significant input through provision of time, resource and project management of the kitchen development. Simon Boyle of the Beyond Food Foundation commented: 'This is a perfect example of how the third, private and public sectors can work together to make a real difference to people's lives.'
