VISION'S FUNDRAISING FOUR

Fundraising Four.png

Members of the Vision team have been busy taking on fundraising challenges over the past few months.

On the 18th February, Vision's Key Account Manager, David Bryant took part in the Commercial Catering Equipment Walking group challenge walk. The walk took place in the beautiful Peak District, with the group fundraising for Mind UK, the mental health charity.

On 6th March, Vision's Finance & Operations Director, Jarrod Ashton along with his wife Sue, took on a 50km bike ride challenge through the desert in Dubai, in order to fundraise for The Christie charity.

On 6th May, Vision's Project Director, Phil Shea, joined members of the BAM North West Wellbeing Group, as they took on the Yorkshire three peaks challenge. The team were fundraising for The Lighthouse Club - an industry charity who provide emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support to construction workers and their families.

Vision's Designer, David Dillon will also be joining the team's fundraising efforts when he takes on the Manchester 100, a 100km ride on the 8th September. Originally Vision's Finance & Operations Director, Jarrod Ashton was going to be taking part in an annual ride to continue his fundraising for The Christie charity in memory of his brother. After raising £28,500 over the past 8 years, Jarrod was hoping to hit the £30,000 milestone this year. However, due to a back injury, he unfortunately will be unable to take on the challenge. Kindly, one of Vision's Designers, David Dillon offered to step in to take Jarrod's place to help continue his fundraising efforts.

Jarrod Ashton, Vision's Finance & Operations Director commented: "Here at Vision, we pride ourselves on being the 'Vision family'. Dave's offer to ride in my place and keep the fundraising going is a great reflection of the core values of our team. The fundraising carried out by myself, Phil, David and now Dave, are great examples of our social and corporate values and the importance of giving back to our community."
