OUR WORK

Vision were commissioned to undertake the design, supply, and installation of the main kitchen, dishwasher, 9 bar areas, and cellar areas within the Civic Hall, all tailored to accommodate its substantial capacity.

The planning phase required visualising the kitchen's layout across different areas of the site, considering constraints imposed by the listed building, notably the challenges with the extraction systems and the existing locations of goods lifts. This was to enable food service across multiple floors.

Numerous layouts were devised during the design phase in attempts to accommodate the kitchens within various spaces.

The main kitchen location needed to be capable of meeting the required service demands, accommodating necessary equipment, and providing ample productivity space. The initial proposed area for the kitchen proved to be inadequate, prompting the need to transition to a larger space.

OUR WORK

The installation process at Wolverhampton Civic Hall presented significant challenges, primarily due to the tight timeline. Complications arose when the lifts were out of service, necessitating manual transportation of equipment between floors. Additionally, addressing issues with the extraction system took precedence to ensure its proper integration.

Vision adopted a collaborative approach throughout, conducting weekly site visits to coordinate with the construction team, joiners, and contractors. Despite the hurdles encountered, our team remained resilient , committed and applied full determination to meeting the deadlines that needed to be met, ultimately facilitating the timely reopening of the Civic Hall.

This project took place within a tight timeframe with meticulous attention to detail. Extensive design efforts and collaborative work culminated in a finished product that perfectly matched the kitchen's requirements and efficiency standards. Our team's dedication played a pivotal role in revitalising the Civic Hall, contributing positively to the local area. The life in which this venue has brought back to the City of Wolverhampton is something that has been missed for a number of years due to its closure. Vision Commercial Kitchens has played a fundamental part in the resurrection of this iconic venue with its involvement through the design, supply and installation.
